Hot Shower is one of the best comedy songs ever made. The beat is fantastic, Chance, DaBaby, and Madein sound great, the music video is enjoyably wacky, and the subplot is interesting. Basically, Chance's lawyer is in trouble with the mafia, and he keeps trying to call Chance to get the money, but he's too busy doing his fun, wacky stuff to call his phone, as mentioned in the lyric "My lawyer say it's urgent, imma call him in an hour" While this subplot is a little mean spirited, it works for 2 reasons. 1. The lawyer dude isn't exactly a nice person. He's not mean, but it's clear he's not a morally good person. And 2. This dark subplot clashes humorously with the enjoyably fun and goofy song. But let's get to what I love the most about Hot Shower: the lyrics. Not since Thrift Shop have I been this in love with a song's lyrics. They're all insanely fun, silly, and clever. There's a lyric about stomping Satan on the head, Jupiter and Saturn's rings, trying to sleep, Doug from Nickelodeon, Good Burger, it's all so fun. Bottom line, I absolutely love Hot Shower. It's fun, silly, enjoyable, and goofy. Easily the best song Chance The Rapper has ever made. I highly recommend checking it out.
