Song Review: Gibberish by MAX and Hoodie Allen

Hello, again, MAX. Haven't seen you on the blog in a while. First, you showed up on the DM's of my worst of 2018 list with Lights Down Low, then you made up for it with Working For The Weekend. So how will this third song fair out? Well, it's fricking awesome. Why? First off, the production. This is some of the best production I've ever heard in my life. It's so snazzy and funky, to the point where it's virtually impossible to not dance to this song. MAX's voice is also fantastic. It's punchy and full of passion to the point where he could sing in Bang Bang. As for the lyrics?  It's basically How Long but in reverse. While that song was about Charlie Puth being caught cheating, and trying to unsuccessfully apologize, Gibberish is about MAX catching his girlfriend cheating and lying to him, and while she tries to apologize, MAX is like "no, girl. I'm not going to listen to your disingenuous apologies. In fact, whenever I see you talk, all I hear is gibberish"

Yeah, that is savage as hell. As for the featured artist, Hoodie Allen, he's pretty good too. He's nowhere near as good as MAX, but he's still really good. He has good flows and sounds really good. Bottom line, this song is fantastic. Easily the most underrated song of 2015. I'm glad that MAX turned out to not suck. More like this and Working For The Weekend, and less like Lights Down Low.
