Song Review: Zero by Imagine Dragons

I have not seen Ralph Breaks The Internet. I saw the first one, and it was pretty good, but I have no interest in seeing RBTI, and I probably never will. However, the song made for it, Zero by Imagine Dragons, is fricking awesome! Why? Well, for starters, the production. This is some of the funkiest production I've ever heard from a song. It's really jammin and cool, supported by Dan Reynold's amazing voice. Speaking of which, Dan Reynolds. He sounds fantastic in this song. Like with Shots, Reynolds puts a lot of passion into his voice, which, combined with the funky and cool production makes for a fantastic musical experience. And this music video is awesome. Unlike Just Like Fire, which used the Alice In Wonderland motif only to make the viewer pay attention, Zero uses the video game motif to actually be interesting. And don't get me started on the lyric video. The lyrics are also really good. Very deep and impactful. And that bridge is insanely fantastic. That slow buildup before we get to the catchy as hell chorus. Absolutely incredible. In conclusion, Zero is anything but. It's a fun, funky song, with deep lyrics, great vocals, and a fantastic music video. Easily one of Imagine Dragons' best songs.
